Purple fuzz

This is a hand embroidered distressed piece of art for your wall - made from a layer of cotton and muslin hand dyed in rich purple and pinks which merge together beautifully. The fabric has then been heavily embroidered using various stitches and techniques, french knots,cross stitch,straight stitch, to name a few. A small piece of turquoise pure silk in popping up from a torn hole in the muslin around which are old metal cogs that i have collected over the years, french knots are also heavly stitched around this piece of silk. The piece is finished off and backed with hand dyed cotton and interfacing sandwiched inbetween. The piece comes complete in a beautiful wooden frame which finishes it off beautifully to display either on the wall or a surface. The frame measures approx 39cm x18cm and the embroidered piece measures about 31cm x 10cm square. the frame dosn't have glass covering the piece so you can see and touch all the detail. would make a beautiful gift for a loved one or yourself all images and designs copyright © parsy 2009
